Standard hardware
The individual requirements of special testing tasks can be
fulfilled at particularly low cost by means of application-specific adaptations of standard hardware components. The basic
modular technology of ECKELMANN test systems was conceived on the basis of this premise.
Three different basic models serve as the basis for test bay automation:
- PC with I/O card and configurable standard software
- PC with field bus and application-optimised test sofware, if necessary with a realtime-capable additional module
- Realtime-capable multiprocessor hardware with field bus and application-optimised test software
Optical inspection (vision) has become the standard for test bays. Frame grabber cards with corresponding evaluation
features for image processing tasks, e.g. completeness
checking, measurements, position control and surface
checking therefore supplement the available range.
