Operating units
The operating units from ECKELMANN are equally well-
suited for all types of PLC and CNC controllers. Embedded
and Compact controllers possess at least two
CANopen® interfaces to enable parallel operation of several operating units. As each operating unit has its own station
address, the displays can show identical or differing operating screens. The operating units with 8 or 16-bit processors
include their own text memories for at least three different language files. Operating units with 16 and 32-bit processors
can be equipped with a PLC operating system programmable
to IEC61131-3, thus constituting a compact controller with decentralised I/O modules together with the field bus terminals in the E·FBM series.
Users can choose between three different capacity levels:
- Compact operating units with a keyboard and graphics-compatible monochrome LCD display. Degree of protection at least IP54
Touch operating units with 1/4 VGA, VGA or S-VGA
colour display based on STN or TFT technology,
degree of protection at least IP54
- Industrial PC with 12" or 15" TFT displays with or without touch operation and the Windows or Linux operating system
- Besides the standard range, there is also a large
number of customised operating units which can
be adapted individually to each customer's design
and machine environment.
- Optionally, the operating units can also feature PLC functionality.
